Coach Curt Johnson took his 12 U High Desert Heat basketball team to a tough more competitive league this fall in central Phoenix. Having spent several season playing in YMCA leagues throughout the valley and putting his team in numerous AAU tournament through spring and summer this year. The High Desert Heat Basketball Club is proud to announce that on Saturday, February 21st the 5th and 6th Grade Boys Team coach by Eric Kilstrom and Joe Jaquint won the YMCA D2 Purple Division Championship by coming back from 9 points down to beat the tournament’s top seeded team for the win.
