After winning the Glendale YMCA Championship on Saturday the Heat 5th & 6th grade D1 Champs were invited to play the Champions of the East Valley on Monday night. In a tough contest the Heat defeated a quick Mesa team 33 - 32 to win the Valley of the Sun YMCA Championship. Pictured front row Billy Tuff, Ashley McGinn and Nick Vivola. HDHBC (High Desert Heat Basketball Club) was established in August 2007, with the goal of providing excellent coaching and high levels of competition for the kids in and around the Anthem, Arizona, community. Jr. Sun (boys) and Jr. Mercury (girls) teams are now being formed for kids in grades 1st thru 8th.
